Lego's line of Hero Factory toys now has a digital home for its tie-in comic series via a new iOS app care of DC Comics and comiXology. It's not bad timing considering the recent launch of
Lego's line of DC Universe SuperHeroes toys, which include
Hero Factory compatible figures of Batman, the Joker and Green Lantern. Joining the
Hero Factory comics on the app are several of DC's all-ages titles like
Superman Adventures,
Batman Adventures,
Tiny Titans and
Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade. There's currently about a dozen free comics in all (the same free #1 issues of kids comics on the DC app), with other issues going for $0.99.
So far Lego and DC haven't converted the comics that come packed
with their Lego toy sets, but it will be interesting to see if that material finds its way into the digital space.
