Trailer mashups have become near-daily (and sometimes sort of played out) occurrences on the Planet Blogosphere, but despite our constant posts about the upcoming Dark Knight Rises movie, I'm not sure I would have ever paired it with... The Lion King? The Lion King Rises by MovieMaestroTen makes me wish I had, as it is pretty much note-perfect. The image above isn't actually from the video, but it is a pretty sweet Lion King movie poster by Eric Tan that is also nice to look at, so enjoy the twofer and check out the unexpectedly apropos mashup after the cut.
