Crime: A copy of Amazing Fantasy #15 worth an estimated $15,000 has reportedly gone missing from a comic collector's home in Lincoln, Nebraska. [Journal Star] Just read in todays paper that edition number 15 amazing Fantasy featuring Spider-Man's first appearence is estimated to realise £1,800- £2,200 when it comes up for auction with Dominic winter at South Cerney in Gloucestershire on December 15, Thats in todays western Daily Press in the UK. probably just a coincidence hey.
I missed the Amethyst moment in the promo. This is exactly the kind of character from DC's library that they ought to be promoting (i.e. the kind that'll appeal to girls). It's so weird that, after a couple of years in which it appeared that DC animation was slowly disappearing up its own ass, there's suddenly been an eruption of interesting, fun, and well-thought-out-looking cartoons coming to TV.
And people say Alan Moore is crazy? After the recent debacle with Frank Miller, Comics' resident mad hedge wizard comes ot of the woodwork to request donations for a memorial to Harvey Pekar. Glad to see at least one of the great old men of modern comics is still a total class act.
