Depending on the adventure, Superman, Batman and other costumed crimefighters have plenty to be bummed about in their off time. That's not to say Lora Zombie's "Depressed" paintings cover the full spectrum of their superheroic emotions, but her touching series manages to give them a quiet moment alone without implying they've lost their resilience to continue their respective never ending battles. Zombie brings this same nuance to a variety of other fun paintings, which introduce little girls to animals and firearms to a kitty.
