The teaser, which you can watch after the cut, features glimpses of a stop-motion Batman by Aardman Animation, Plastic Man, Teen Titans, Super Best Friends Forever, LEGO Batman and other shorts.

Awful music, but fat Batman with moustache was worth it.

November 16 2011 at 9:20 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyDoom Patrol looks promising, especially with the original costume on Negative Man, there.
Also, is that new Teen Titans?
They didn't show Super Best Friends Forever in that video, but rather Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld from Brianne Drouhard. http://potatofarmgirl.blogspot.com/2011/11/amethyst-of-gemworld.html
Combined with Super BFF, they're really aiming towards the Friendship is Magic crowd with those two shorts, aren't they?
Actually, I am kinda excited to see someone giving Amethyst : Princess of Gemworld a twirl at animation. I get pretty ga-ga over these things, the more obscure the series and character that gets shown, the better.
I hope that doesn't make me a...umm...what can I be called? "Prince of Gemworld fan"? "Prony"? "Gem-a-roni"? "Rice-a-roni"?
I know I can't choose "Brony"! ;p
Plastic Man is awesome - heres hoping for a SHAZAM animated series, fingers crossed!

November 15 2011 at 7:21 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyActually, I've been hoping for an Animated Doom Patrol series or "specials" or even shorts. They could do a LOT with those, especially the Grant Morrison stuff.
November 16 2011 at 3:02 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplySome of these toons look better than others, but I really, really like what they're doing with branding. DC-based cartoons have been a huge part of Cartoon Network for years, but this is the first time it feels like they're making a point to say, "Do you like these cartoons? Then you should be reading DC Comics!"
November 15 2011 at 5:02 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe shorts look absolutely amazing. This looks like everything I wish the DC animated movies had been. And they're finally starting to exploit some of their HUGE library of characters!
Fingers crossed some of these lead to shows. Plastic Man in particular is a natural for a kid's cartoon. And maybe they can actually make use of some of the 80,435 female characters that the comics never know what to do with.
Was that some Plastic Man I saw there? It looks like the pilot* was finally picked up, if only for a short.

Actually, they're making MORE Plastic Man shorts exclusively for DC Nation, with the same folks behind the original short working on it, including Tom Kenny as Plastic Man himself.
