Final 'X-Men: Destiny' Trailer Asks Players To Pick A Side [Video]

Also a slight spoiler I didn't think about until recently:

Of the three characters you pick, the Japanese girl is named Aimi Yoshida.

Her beginning story tells of her parents, mostly her father, putting her on a boat from Japan and bound to America. He stays in Japan (to look for his wife) but tricks his daughter to boarding the boat. When he leaves, his body erupts into fire and he runs toward the sounds of an angry mob. He is also a mutant. He is dressed as a civilian.

The X-Men seem to know her father.

Her Father is most likely Sunfire, the mutant hero of Japan.

These graphics are terrible....

I actually had early access to the game and finished the main story part in about 5 hours. The replayability consists of trophy/achievement collecting and gaining more XP for powers. You get 3 Main Power pool choices and 3 characters, but while the powers are a bit different, the dialogue/scenes play pretty much the same, even if you go X-Men or Brotherhood. You gain more by playing Easy, Normal, and Hard, because you get to keep powers from previous playthroughs and can build them up further, but really, it's only good for achievements.

Personally, I'd wait for this game to go down to 19.99 or less. Not worth full price. Dialogue/Voice Over is good on most characters (most are reprising roles from "Wolverine and the X-Men" like Steve Blum and Phill Lamarr), but it gets repeatitive and you can't skip over them, even if you already viewed them.

According to Wonkipedia, Pixie is in it. Yay, Pixie!

But regardless, I can't play it. The joys of being PC-only, I suppose.

I was really looking forward to this but it already looks dated. No way I'm paying full price for it but I might get it when it goes on sale/pre-owned.

I think I'm gonna wait a while to buy this.

I've been having a hard time lately buying games that had a poor or outdated design and the aesthetic in the trailers haven't really gotten my excited. I can accept poor graphics, if there's a sense of connectiveness with the world (as oppose to the MMORPG style of combat, where you feel utterly disconnected from the world: floating, when you should be walk; flinching, when you're attacked etc.), but that doesn't seem to be the case here either.

I also don't understand why you get to be your own character, but you don't get to customize their look aside from three costumes. Let me remodel his or her face, dangnabbit. Give me ownership of the character, or don't even pretend that I have choice.

Has it been pointed out that the first male character we saw in previews, not the jock, lost his wife-beater and at least 40% of his tribal tats. I hope you can change their costume because I wanted him to keep the part of biggest douche bag ever.

This game looks way too boring and in some cases aesthetically unpleasing to be worth anything.I don't think even Mike Carey's writing could save it. And with no multi-player (like just about every xmen game for the past decade or so has had) it has no right to charge 60 bucks for itself

X-men game that doesn't let me play as any of my favorite x-men instead throws me three generic looking character with spin moves that project a yellow swirl?? Nope. Nope. Nope. I really was looking forward to this being the next x-men legends that gave you a new character and let you choose to play as the other mutants but nope );

Soon I hope. They should work on the darkness sequel

A licensed game... WITH DIFFERENT MISSIONS DEPENDING ON WHETHER YOU CHOOSE GOOD OR EVIL?This was certainly newsworthy, and it's won me over to this game that I just heard of! I think I'll buy a quadzillion!

Ehh, I'll probably rent it.
