A brand new Ray will join the ranks of DC Comics' relaunched line beginning in December with a four-issue miniseries by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray. As revealed by The Washington Post's Comic Riffs, this will be the character's fourth incarnation with a new costume and the new identity of Lucien Gates. The Ray #1 joins a host of other in-continuity miniseries fleshing out DC's new line of books including The Huntress #1 by Paul Levitz, Marcos To and John Dell and Penguin: Pain and Prejudice #1 by Gregg Hurwitz and Szymon Kudranski. Further information about this new Ray and the exact nature of his powers and place in the new DCU is still forthcoming, but the hero will be punching guys who have with huge knives, which is probably a good sign.
