The new teaser trailer for Joss Whedon's 2012 The Avengers film is kind of weird. It essentially fuses part of the end of Captain America: The First Avenger with chunks of what's shown after its credits. It's not so much an actual teaser trailer as a commercial for watching the end of Cap's movie, which you may already know if you've read Chris Sims' review of the film. For those who haven't caught The First Avenger yet, the clip might feel like a huge spoiler (although longtime comics fans familiar with Cap's origin can probably shrug it off). This mild weirdness is forgiven, though, because the teaser shows Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hulk (Bruce Banner) and Nick Fury kicking it together for the first time.
