It's funny how patriotism/regional pride works. Ohio claims itself as the birthplace of Superman (and not unfairly at all, seeing as how Siegel and Shuster DID create him together there), but as any Canadian who grew up in the 90s knows - mostly because the federal government funded TV spots telling us as much as a part of their Heritage Minutes series - Joe Shuster was born in Toronto and spent the first part of his life there.
