First Look: 'Batgirl' #2 Cover by Adam Hughes [Art]

I thought it was Ghost too - Well if Cass met Ghost Babs can too :D

It's a really pretty cover but it reminds me of everything I hate about the way they tend to pose female superheros as being more passive/submissive.

Can you imagine Batman or Robin in that pose making that face?

I still don't see why they have to push Steph aside

Babs' a-tad-too-relaxed pose was what I noticed, not her apparent youth.

I spoke with Gail Simone at the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo and while she is being pretty mum about the whole thing, I did manage to get a couple of useful snippets of info. I asked if Batgirl was going to be older than Batwoman, to which she replied 'No. Barbara will be younger.' She pointed out to an event at the end of FlashPoint that will explain why all the heroes are younger. She also insinuated that Babs techy-looking costume may have something to do with her ability to walk as The Killing Joke is still in continuity.

I like the cover. And yeah that silhouette does make me thing of Ghost. Batgirl's face on the other hand, makes her look real young.

Anyone else immediately think the silhouette belonged to Ghost, from Dark Horse, which Adam Hughes also did art for?

Weeeeeeiiiiiird! Or not weird at all. Whatever, man.

Kinda sad that my hope of her still being handicapped but being Batgirl in Web 2.0 or whateva it was that Wayne Enterprise's created.
