I don't mind them making Heimdall negroid, as long as no one complains when the ancient Egyptians are portrayed accurately in film as the caucasians they were. There were most likely some negroids in Scandinavia at some time, though it's quite the stretch to infer that the Norse pantheon would include non-Norse peoples of any variety. Suffice it to say that while the white racists (yes, there are other color racists)are wrong to care so much, it also wouldn't hurt to have a little bit of non-PC accuracy in film media, adventure-fantasy included.

Or Penny Arcade, Jesus appears sometimes in Penny Arcade.
And tons of movies.
you know, I was going to see this movie either way, just b/c I'm a comic book fanatic, but after seeing this most recent trailer...I'm actually looking a little more forward to it...hoping Captain America turns out alright as well now though...then we will see a great Avengers movie...that waits to be seen though...

I so want to see this. But after Avatar, no 3D for me. Buying a ticket would just enable the insanity.
So AGAIN, I wait for the trade.
Are they doing the same to CA?
..
So don't watch it in 3D.

February 18 2011 at 12:51 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAs awesome as Henry V was, I still have Frankenstein feelings nagging in the back of my mind. This really feels like it could go either way, we just have to hope for the best.
February 18 2011 at 9:55 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThis looks 10,000 times better than the 13 year old me would have ever dreamed a Thor movie could look.
Color me freaking sold.
I think it looks really good, but come on, am I the only one who can't stand the pandering "this is going on Facebook" line? Just like Iron Man's "i don't wanna see this picture on your myspace page, naw just kidding" - it just sticks out to me like sore thumb
February 17 2011 at 9:59 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyFacebook is now used by 1 in 13 people on Earth. I don't see it as pandering. It's just a fact of life.
