In one of the cooler trans-corporate crossovers we've seen in a while, the producers of
This American Life have collaborated with Marvel Comics to create a limited edition poster featuring Wolverine and Nightcrawler to promote both the X-Men comics as well as
This American Life, the Ira Glass radio documentary series enjoyed by homo-sapiens and mutants alike. The artwork was created by
Michael Allred and
Laura Allred.

Taken from the memorably quirky "Road Trip" story from
Nation X, the poster depicts Wolverine and Nightcrawler on a drive through the U.S. while Glass introduces
This American Life on the vehicle's radio. wwwThe story in question was written by James Asmus and illustrated by Michael Allred with colors by Laura Allred and originally published in l2009's
Nation X #1. "Road Trip" remains in print as part of the
X-Men: Nation X collection, which you can
buy here.
The Marvel/This American Life poster is sized at 16" by 32" and limited to just 2,000 copies. You can order them at
This American Life's general store for $22.00. To encourage listeners and Marvel readers to purchase the lovely poster, a helpful diagram was included:
And just because we really dig it, check out a couple more pages from Asmus and the Allreds' "Road Trip" story starring Nightcrawler and Wolverine.
