Anyone notice the similarity between Foreskin Man's costume and the Ambiguously Gay Duo, Ace and Gary? Of course being F-Man he wears a cape... the turtleneck was too warm.

But seriously, Marilyn is correct: this comic is antisemitic. One of the panels depicting the "Monster Mohel" appears to be based on a poster for the nazi-era film _Der ewige Jude_ [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Eternal_Jew ]. Did artist Gledson Barreto really think no one would notice, or that if they would find it admirable? Meanwhile, the dialog repeats much of the script from the blood libel genre.

This comic would be funny if it were a parody of the anti-circumcision movement in the old National Lampoon—for you youngsters it was a humor magazine before it became the brand name for series of hit-or-miss comedy films. I s'pose it's possible that Barreto was trying to sabotage the intactivists while pulling a paycheck—Jena Troutman has withdrawn the Santa Monica anti-circumcision ballot measure after this F-Man hit the fan—but judging by his websites, prob'ly not.

This comment might be a little over your heads, but pay attention to history a little and see where this
comic book is going. It's very anti-semitic, this is how they porttrayed Jews in the past. I know this by
studying this subject for quite awhile. This is definitely anti-semitic. Look it up for yourself if you don't believe me. Even the Jews in Europe couldn't believe things could go so far. I'm not even Jewish and
and I can see where the author is going with this.

Look, I apreciate the thought. They want to raise awareness of an issue they are passionate about, just as I do(regardless that my issue is "lack of Lesbian buddycop Superhero-regulating based comics"

Yet I feel they painted themselves into a corner by making the hero Foreskin man and making his sole reason to fight evil mutants that want to cut foreskins. HOW MANY ISSUES CAN THIS HAVE WITHOUT BEING REPETITIVE? And then if you want to have the hero do something else, like punch vagina sewing aliens, he still is called Foreskin Man and still has a penis pointed at his face as a costume.

Furthermore, in real life there aren't that many people who kidnap babies, circumzice them, then bring them back. If the creators wanted to raise awarness of the real life issue, it kinda falls flat if you have to make total monsters and serial killers out of what are mostly proffesionals and religious leaders who only do it witht their parents consent. But, hey, nice touch with the "he looks at a baby foreskin, and mutates into a monster" hook on the villain.

I'm against abortion(yeah, sue me) and I don't think it'd be wise to have "UNABORTION MAN" fight "DR CHOIZE" who goes around pulling the living fetuses outta women while they sleep. Not every issue can be solved ith spandex, punching, and "Man" at the end of a title.

I just think it's great that his secret ID is "Miles Hastwick."

This is not "thinly veiled antisemitism". Why does it ALWAYS have to be about that? Whenever the issue of male circumcision is contested in any form, you get people who cry foul in reference to anything semitic. Never mind the fact that the majority of circumcisions done are secular, right? Please give me a break. And just so that you're aware, circumcision is highly controversial even within semitic domains. For an example; there have been people born Jewish that resent the fact they were circumcised. It happens, look it up. I think that the comic is just fine (if a bit weird, but in this day and age there are many things like that, some of which are necessary) and doesn't hint of what you suggest it does.

I can only imagine the artist being so excited about having his first comics gig and then he´s handed FORESKIN MAN.

This seems like thinly veiled antisemitism.

I don't what to think about a blonde-haired, possibly blue-eyed, ubermensch fighting monsters who perform circumcision.
