"Registered Weapon" is one of my favorite webcomics, but for those of you who aren't familiar with it, here's the deal: Gardner Linn, Chris Thorn, Dave Lentz and Robert Simmons are essentially doing a buddy-cop comedy, except that one of the cops robot that used to be a cash register, and the other is a borderline psychotic. And I don't mean psychotic in the usual sense, I mean that while interrogating a suspect, he threatened to eat a cat... after the guy had confessed.


It's sharply written, well-drawn and well worth checking out, and the Free Comic Book Day special (which contains an 8-page story as well as bonus material) makes a great introduction to it, and is up for download in PDF and CBZ format, perfect for slapping on that nice new iPad. So check it out!
