Remember
a few weeks back when Cartoon Network's Adult Swim teased it'd be obtaining new anime series in the wake losing
"Blood +" and "Death Note?" Well, according to
Anime News Network, the network has found a suitable replacement in the form of a 26-episode order of Funimation's "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood," the relaunched FMA series that's been out in Japan (and
streaming on Hulu with English subtitles) since April.
Based on the "Fullmetal Alchemist" manga by Hiromu Arakawa, "Brotherhood" is an ongoing series meant to follow its source material more closely than the previously adapted FMA anime that ran on Adult Swim back in 2004.
The new dubbed series should be something of a decent jumping-on point for those who didn't catch the first animated incarnation. Given that Arakawa's manga has been in publication since 2001 and could be wrapping before long after more than 24 volumes, a more faithful series may be just the thing for new audiences...who don't like subtitles or using Hulu anyway (or don't care to wait until Hulu starts charging).

hell yes. Not to be "that guy" but the FMA manga made the original BONES anime look like crap and Brotherhood is a more or less faithful adaptation of the manga.

My friend is trying to get me to start watching FMA. I've heard the first book of the original manga and I thought that was awesome. Need more times.
