The title was revealed today at DC's The Source blog, along with a tease that its events will rock the Man of Steel's world.
The J.G. Jones cover looks pretty awesome (my apologies for defacing it with juvenile humor Mr. Jones) and it's contents by writer James Robinson and art by Eddy Barrows.
While the event will primarily take place in the Superman family of books, group editor Matt Idelson told Time's Techland blog that it could spill out into the rest of the DCU like "Blackest Night" (which kicked off during last year's FCBD).
I'm already full of questions looking at the cover, but I probably won't find out whether that ball of energy in the background is an explosion or some kind of Boom Tube portal until this Spring.

I think the "ball of energy" in the background is supposed to be New Krypton. Just a guess.

Yeah, I was just kind of ribbing on NK's color fluctuations. Sometimes it's pink, sometime's it's blueish - looks almost yellow/orange on this cover. I don't mind as a reader, just an observation I wanted to drop with a little good-natured subtlety.

hilarious cover! seriously though, JMS is doing Earth-1 Superman in September 2010 so I think people can sleep through this event (or at least try to) until his graphic novel is published. Its just a one shot though and I'm not sure if he'll be taking over as fulltime writer on the main Superman title with all his higher paying Hollywood obligations.
Will it even matter in the end? The Siegel family lawsuit and continous failed attempts at launching a new motion picture have made this character a laughing stock.
