It's hard to know what makes for a good marriage. Some people say it's the ability to compromise, while others feel frequent hot sex is key. Whatever you believe, most people want more than a two-dimensional drawing.
There is one Japanese man, however, who wants humans to have the right to marry fictitious cartoon characters
. It's not clear whether Taichi Takashita has a specific lady in mind for his nuptials, but 1,000 people have already signed his online petition.
Takashita says he's more comfortable in a world that's flat. "I am no longer interested in three dimensions. I would even like to become a resident of the two-dimensional world. ... However, that seems impossible with present-day technology. Therefore, at the very least, would it be possible to legally authorize marriage with a two-dimensional character?"
We looked at 'toon porn
earlier this month and our readers had some pretty strong opinions on the matter. Crazy as this may sound, we're thinking wedding a cartoon may be even more perverse. Not that we wouldn't do it, if it involved a tax break.Question Raised:
Would saying "I do" to a 'toon compromise the sanctity of marriage?
