bring news that should brighten your day--I know it did mine. But first I pose a question: what do you do if you're an adult entertainment star that's been around long enough so that your age, and your many cosmetic surgeries, are starting to catch up to you? What do you do when your name is appearing more often on tabloid covers rather than Vivid Entertainment releases? Well, first you condemn the wonder that is High-definition television for highlighting your imperfections so beautifully, and then you find other means of interacting with your adoring public.I am speaking, of course, of Jenna Jameson, author (sort of) of my favorite how-to memoir, How to Make Love Like a Porn Star, and star of way more of my sexual fantasies than I'd care to admit. But, let's face it, her naked days in the sun are beginning to set. So I was understandably ecstatic today when it was announced that she would be featured in her very own comic book series, Shadow Hunter, debuting in December and ending with a complete 144-page book available June 2008. And here's the best part: It's being published by Virgin Comics. Oh Jenna, your flare for the ironic never ceases to impress.
Now let me be clear by saying that this series is NOT pornography--I know, bummer. The press release coyly describes it as "provocative and sexy, contain[ing] no nudity and intended for a mainstream audience." The story follows a superheroine who, after deftly avoiding a run-in with death finds her self battling all sorts of hell's minions over control of her soul--think Hellblazer's John Constantine cross-bred with the Pussy Patrol. But the plot's really not all that important, is it? Finally we can enjoy Jenna in all her airbrushed glory without that nagging thought in the back of our minds that she's not actually trying to look airbrushed.
More details will be surfacing as Comic-Con continues, so expect further updates from my esteemed colleagues who gave me the honor of starting the ball rolling (aside from the press release, that is). In the meantime, I leave you with this comment from Jenna herself that more than piqued my curiosity: "I'm thrilled to be collaborating with Virgin to bring this story to life, first as comics and eventually in film and other formats." I can only imagine what "other formats" might entail, but here's hoping the film will be shelved in the back section of the store.

What a pity that the comic book image of her bears no resemblance to how she REALLY looks. The comic book image of her makes her look 20 years younger than what she really is. But then, I suppose whoring oneself can age a woman a great deal.
I feel sorry for her, because she is incapable of having any kind of REAL relationship. What man wants to touch her? This chick is so used up.
And for those of you who think porn is glamorous, check out this website by someone who was in the industry herself. See what really goes on behind the scenes.

shes a whore that needs to stop trying act like shes hot shiii fer rill im sorry but its sad shes making thesse comic books for what ages? the fact she was a porn star im sorry if your a parent and you would let your child read this you have some massive issues you needa get checked out. sadly if she made this im pretty sure guys would get off to her comic book which is real pethetic and actually shows how weak of man you really are and the fact guys view girls as nothing but sex symbols is pretty crude and pethetic, women should be viewed with more respect instead of some trash on the cover of playboy, women have way more values then that, and like the other person who commented this is right, once your a pornstar thats all youll be for the rest of your life and the girls that are trash give every single women a bad name, its annoying to know because of the adult entertainment world many women are degraded and it disgusts me and every other women out that have boy friends and husbands who watch this trash, and dont even realize thats why they have a wife, and no its not to use them its for the simple fact your suppose to love them to show emotion, not to get off. back to the comic book personally its rediculus and shes reaching an age limit where she honestly needs to stop.

I will never understand why somebody gets so angry over something they obviously do not have anything to do with. You are correct your children should probably not look at this comic. Well then guess what, DON'T LET THEM READ IT. If you also haven't noticed most comic books have this level of adult content. X-men most likely shows this level. Have you ever seen storm? This comic book will come out be loved, and then go away. Your choice to get angry just means your blood pressure is going up needlessly.

First off to britty, learn how to spell. Second leave her alone, the people who are talking about her are probably jealous. We all age she's just in the spotlight more and people just have to point out any imperfection. She chose her path and it obviously works for her she is a successful business woman. She is also still gorgeous you all need to get a life. FYI I am a woman.

Dear Britty:
Actually, the point of having a girlfriend/wife is to get off. You may want to review Biology. For that matter, you may want to review Spelling and Grammar. Actually, you may just want to go back to Middle School. Do you really think that women ("women," not "girls") like Jenna Jameson give all women a bad name? Yet you don't feel that men like Ron Jeremy or Peter North give all men a bad name? Way to go, hypocrite. Oh wait, look at your myspace: "i like to be protected and i like to feel protected it makes me feel cared for." Classic feminazi hypocrite. I'm all for feminism, but you give the rest of us women a bad name. Maybe you should have stayed in school so you could get a job and fend for yourself?
Personally, I think this is a very clever move by Jenna Jameson. I don't read comics, but it's fascinating.
